Bol to a Split

We left Hvar with cloudier, cooler weather on our way to Bol. This is a very small town on the island of Brac which is known for its olive oil production. It was a rainy, drizzly day so we went off for a lazy stroll through the town, umbrella in hand.

The town is also known for its beach, the Golden Horn, which we walked to along the promenade but we didn't brave the water. After a couple of hours in Bol we left and dropped anchor not far from the beach. A few of the more hardy souls had a short swim in the Adriatic...I wasn't that hardy.

From there we headed out to Split. By this time the sun had returned and we napped up on the sun deck. We pulled into Split around 4:00 and did a quick stroll before going on our guided tour. It was fun being back in Split revisiting some of the places we really enjoyed.

One of those was Bokeria where we went with two other couples for an excellent dinner. We also made sure to partake in the baked Brie with pistachio mayonnaise again and later we revisited the Zinfadel wine bar to listen to the young singer perform "Conte Partira". Later I took my tripod and camera out on my own to catch some night shots before going back to the boat. Split is a city I would return to.
