Light My Fire

Today we took a rough gravel road off the main highway to Kiholo Bay.  We did about a 2 hour hike across black sand beach and over lava rocks.  There were a few challenging spots but some beautiful sights.  The water was an amazing colour and Mary had a successful shell day.  After our hike we set up the tRusty beach chairs and sat on our own private beach for close to an hour...there was literally no one else anywhere near us.  After a quick stop at Beach 69 we drove on to the town of Kawaihae and took in Happy Hour at the Seafood Bar and Grill.  Near the end of our meal on the outside deck we had two geckos entertaining us at our table.  In the evening we went to th shops at Mauna Lani to take in some more free entertainment.....fire dancers.  Now, early to bed.
