A slow start to our second day on the Big Island. I think our 20 hour travel day caught up to us. Late in the morning we headed up to Waimea to go to the Wednesday Farmer's market where we got some really good basil pasta which we cooked up for supper along with some fresh tomatoes. In the early afternoon we went down to Beach 69, one of our favourites. Mary was able to find a couple of cowrie shells for her collection. After dinner we went back to the King's Shops hoping to catch a set of the big band/jazz group, Kahulanui, but they had to cancel for reasons unknown. So we decided to visit the Lava Lava Beach Club, a regular stop on our trip last year, for our first Mai Tai of the trip.
