Last Full Day in Barcelona

We got off to an earlier start with a visit to the Picasso Museum. Great displays of his early art from the age of 9 through his teens and into his early twenties. There was a little bit on his blue period and then into his later years, especially the work he did on his different renditions on Valasquez,a classic, Las Mininas. The museum did a good job of showing his development, especially through his early years and it was definitely worth the visit.

After another stroll through some of the narrow streets of the town center, we did a city bus trip to Parc Guell, another work by Gaudi. He has had a major influence on the architecture of the city. The park was very busy and it was difficult to get any shots without a lot of people in them. There were some good views of the city, though. On our return bus trip we stopped outside another Gaudi house, Casa Batllo. Here is a short video of the front of the building.

We then stopped for a meal of tapas and wine at Xaloc and tea, coffee and sweets at Caelom, just across the street. By then it was raining quite heavily so we went back to the hotel to get ready for a trip to Granada tomorrow.
