Barcelona

We had a pleasant 3 hour train trip from Madrid to Barcelona...caught up on a little sleep while watching "Frankenweenie" in Spanish! But they also included Spanish subtitles so that made it a lot easier to understand!?
We got into the train station, finally found the tourist information, bought our 10 trip metro ticket, put the ticket in the turnstile, went to walk through and walked into the jammed turnstile. This happened about three times, each attempt taking a trip off our ten trip tickets. Five "trips" later and we were on our way....kind of. We made it to our hotel's area and with a little help were able to locate the place.
We took the metro back into the downtown area and strolled through some of the many narrow streets that make up the downtown area of Barcelona. It felt a bit like Venice without the canals and also a bit like Nice. Tomorrow we're off to see the Sagrada Familia cathedral, Gaudi's masterpiece of architecture.

Take care.

Ran into our second legalize marijuana parade today. This time in downtown Barcelona.
