Arrival in Avignon

We had a couple of hours in Lyon before our train to Avignon. We took the metro Place de Terraux and the Hotel de Ville. A beautiful fountain there and then we just hiked around along the Rhone and through the town.
Our trip to Avignon was only an hour and we wer fairly fast in finding our place, unlike some other times we've rolled in to a new city.
We met Paul, Claudie and their son Stephan when they met us to show us the place we'll be staying for a week. I didn't think Mary could get any more excited than she was , but I was wrong and I quote, "This is like heaven." We're sitting at our table now eating a baguette with cheese and wine(yes, Tyler, rose) and listening to the bells of a nearby cathedral. All those subbing days were worth it!

The last 3 shots are of Mary in our apartment window, a look outside our window and the front entrance.

Take care.
