On to Dublin and Belfast

We started the day in Killarney with a stroll to St. Mary's Cathedral and the a very wet walk to the train station, probably the heaviest rain of our trip. We made our way by train to Dublin and talked to a group of friendly guys who had just been in Cork at a concert by The Specials.....seems like we're just missing all these good concerts. They gave us a few good laughs and some pointers about Dublin. We took a walk through the downtown area to get a feel for when we return. We walked through the Temple Bar area but settled for a restaurant, The Church, on the north side of the Liffey River. As the name would suggest it is a restaurant and bar in an old church...St. Mary's, in fact.....what a strange name for an Irish church. The building is beautiful and the food was very good.

Tomorrow we're off to Belfast for four nights.
