Dublin to Belfast

We did a quick stroll to O'Connell St. In Dublin and then took the train to Belfast. Belfast is a city that gives a very good first impression. We are staying in the university quarter, Queen's University. After checking in we walked up to the university and the botanic gardens. We visited the Palm House and the Tropical Ravine as well us the Ulster Museum, all free, which always works for me.

We then walked in to town to find the visitor's information center, usually the first stop for Mary in any new town/city. After we had the required number of brochures and a recommendation for supper we made our way to the recommended eatery, a funky little place called Made in Belfast. After eating, we walked on to Lavery's Pub, one of the oldest in Belfast, had a pint, watched a little football and then made our way back to the Tara Lodge.

We've booked a tour to Carrickfergus and the Giant's Causeway for tomorrow so it's an early start.

Take care.
