Giant's Causeway

On Thursday we took an endless bus tour. We left at 9:30 from the Tara Lodge and got back to Belfast at 7:00! The bus was old and when they turned on the air conditioner we couldn't hear the tour guide. When they turned the fan off, the bus got too hot. We also didn't get a long enough stop to see the sights and also eat lunch and then coming back to Belfast the bus was freezing...but besides that....
The weather was great and we got to see lots of stuff. We had a quick stop at the castle of Carrickfergus....I've had the song stuck in my head ever since. We got to see the suspension bridge at Carrick-a-Rede...we both chose to not cross the bridge. We had a quick look at Dun Luce castle before stopping at Bushmills Distillery for a shot of their whiskey. We the went on for some time at the Giant's Causeway.
On returning to Belfast we walked through the pouring rain to The Barking Dog, a very good restaurant in the university quarter. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait....the bottle of wine helped, too.
Today we did a Black Taxi tour through the Protestant and Catholic sections and we visited the Titanic Museum. Tonight we're of to an Andy White performance, part of the Belfast Book Festival.
Take care.
