Last Day in Budapest

We had another great day but things didn't go quite as planned. Originally we planned to go to Statue Square in Memento Park. This is where the Hungarians took all the Communist statues that had been erected around the city. We found the waiting spot for the mini-van that would take us to the park but it never showed up. So on to Plan B that wasn't really a plan until the van didn't show up.
It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day so we decided to walk over the Chain Bridge and ride the funicular up to the castle. But funicular line up was way to long so we decided to go look for the Gellert Spas just to see what they looked like. We didn't have a lot of success with this search but we did find an escalator to the castle. So up we went to look for the Cave Church. We got directions, took the elevator down but no church (by this time we'd be in last place of "The Amazing Race"). We decided to cut our losses and just walk back to Gerloczy Cafe and have some food and wine. After much bickering about directions (Mary "Let's just check the map!" Kel "I don't need a map!") we finally made it to the cafe with map in hand where we ate, drank and then went home for a nap.
Later we went to our organ concert at St. Stephen's Cathedral and then down for our last look at the Danube. Next stop Ljubljana.
