Our trip to Lagos was fairly uneventful but our bus trip from Lagos to Salema had a bit of a glitch as half way there the bus broke down. There were some upset passengers, especially one woman who was on her way to work and was very concerned about being late....I'm sure we could have learned some fairly interesting Portuguese phrases if anyone had been able to translate for us. Anyway, after about a half hour another bus picked us up and dropped us off in Salema.
The apartment is great and it was a sunny afternoon so we got out right away and walked the beach. And I have to tell you that our Rick Steves connections continue. Seems he stayed in the same apartment for three nights so you can imagine that the excitement for Mary continues. I don't think she wanted me to sleep in the bed at first just to keep the aura of Rick close by....but finally she relented.
We had an early morning walk along the beach thinking that we might catch the bread truck but only the fish truck showed up. We did a day on the beach with a sangria stop and then a hike over to a smaller beach....all beautiful.
Take care. Hope all is well for everyone.
